  1. You must register you unit to be covered by Lifetime Service. You have 60 days from the date of purchase to register. There is a $5 registration fee for Lifetime Service. The policy becomes active upon receipt of your payment.

  2. With Lifetime Service, you will never have to pay for labor to repair your unit, within the guidelines listed below.

  3. All equipment must be used in accordance with the manufacturer's instructions and the guidelines set forth in the owner's manual.

  4. Any physical damage, abuse, unauthorized repair, or modification of the unit voids this agreement.

  5. Lifetime Service does not cover sand or liquid damage, power surges, units used for commercial or business use, or any acts of God.

  6. Lifetime Service does not cover accessories as listed in the owner's manual, such as remote controls.

  7. If the unit must be returned to the manufacturer for repair, Lifetime Service will not cover shipping and handling charges.

  8. Lifetime Service is not transferable.

  9. Televisions 40" or larger which require service are eligible either for pickup or in-home service pickup at our sole discretion. There will be a travel charge for pickup or in-home service after the manufacturer's warranty for in-home service expires.

  10. Satellite equipment, cellular phones, pagers, and digital cameras are not eligible for Lifetime Service. Digital Cameras are eligible for Lifetime Service-Plus coverage.

  11. Units which require service must be returned to one of the Stereo Shop stores in Rochester, New York.

  12. There is a $3 charge for chemicals and cleaning supplies on each unit serviced per occurrence.

Lifetime Service Plus

Lifetime Service Plus is available for 15% of the price of the unit and adds comprehensive coverage beyond the standard Lifetime Service policy.

Units under $300 - Replacement coverage
  1. You must be registered for Lifetime Service and you must purchase the additional Lifetime Service Plus warranty to be covered. You have 60 days from the date of the unit's purchase to register. The policy becomes active upon receipt of your payment. Unit must be in working condition at the time the policy becomes active.

  2. With Lifetime Service-Plus for units under $300, your unit will be replaced with a new unit of the same model if it is found to be defective within 1 year beyond the manufacturer's warranty, if the same model is available, subject to the terms listed below. If the same model is not available, your unit will be replaced by a comparable model.

  3. All equipment must be used in accordance with the manufacturer's instructions and the guidelines set forth in the owner's manual.

  4. Any physical damage, abuse, unauthorized repair, or modification of the unit voids this agreement.

  5. Lifetime Service-Plus does not cover sand or liquid damage or any acts of God.

  6. All necessary components of the unit are covered under Lifetime Service Plus.

  7. You must return the box, packaging, and all accessories with the unit for replacement.

  8. Once you have returned the defective unit to the store, you will be given a new unit the same day, subject to available stock in inventory. If the unit is not immediately available, you will be given a loaner to use until the item arrives in stock.

  9. Full details and limitations of the Lifetime Service Plus warranty are available from a Stereo Shop representative, and will be sent to you in the mail upon activating the warranty.

Units $300 and over - 5 year Parts and Labor
  1. You must be registered for Lifetime Service and you must purchase the additional Lifetime Service Plus warranty to be covered. You have 60 days from the date of the unit's purchase to register. The policy becomes active upon receipt of your payment. Unit must be in working condition at the time the policy becomes active.

  2. With Lifetime Service-Plus for units $300 and over, all terms and conditions of the manufacturer's original warranty will be extended to five years from the date of the unit's purchase.

  3. If your unit needs repair, simply bring it back to one of the Stereo Shop locations. If you are not in the Rochester area, you may call the Stereo Shop to find the most convenient of thousands of authorized service locations throughout the country.

  4. If in-home service or pickup is covered by the manufacturer during the initial manufacturer's warranty, it will also be covered by Lifetime Service Plus.

  5. All equipment must be used in accordance with the manufacturer's instructions and the guidelines set forth in the owner's manual.

  6. Any physical damage, abuse, unauthorized repair, or modification of the unit voids this agreement.

  7. Lifetime Service-Plus does not cover sand or liquid damage or acts of God, such as fire or flood.

  8. If the unit has the same problem three times within the 5 year period, it will be replaced with a new comparable unit.

  9. Lifetime Service-Plus is backed by a AAA-rated insurance underwriter for your protection.

  10. Full details and limitations of the Lifetime Service Plus warranty are available from a Stereo Shop representative, and will be sent to you in the mail upon activating the warranty.
